In Loving Memory of Bertalan (Bert) Paul Sebok Jr.

Bertalan Paul Sebok Jr., age 66, passed away on September 1, 2024. He was born to Bertalan and Gizella Sebok, both from Hungary, who have preceded him in death. Bert leaves behind his wife, Deborah Sebok, his daughter, Paula Krieger, his son-in-law Eric Krieger, his son Joe Sebok, and two grandsons, Alex and Matthew Dominguez. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom Sebok (and his wife Carolyn Queen) and Joe Sebok (and his wife Evi Ramsperger) and his nephews David, Dennis and niece Rebecca, his sister, Maria Carter (and her husband Jason Carter) as well as his nephew Elliot, and last his puppy Ginger, his loyal companion.

Bert was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in NASCAR, fishing, and duct tape. He was convinced that duct tape could fix anything in the world, and he wasn’t shy about proving it. His humor, warmth, and unique outlook on life made him a friend to many. A close friend once jokedthat when Bert passed, he would be taxidermied and carried around like Bernie from the movie Weekend at Bernie’s, Bert loved this movie and found the thought of this hilarious.

Those who knew Bert knew his big heart. He was a man who, if you were fortunate enough to earn his affection, would give you the shirt off his back. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved.

While his family mourns the loss of many more years they had hoped to share with him, they take comfort in the thought that his mother, Gizella, has welcomed him home with open arms in heaven, lovingly stroking the cheek of her “oldest son” once again.

Bert’s family wishes him peace and freedom from pain, both physically and spiritually.

A celebration of Bert’s life will be held later at a date to be determined.
