James E. Barcus Passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on February 3, 2022 at the age of 60. Born August 25,1961, James was raised in Mentor, Ohio until he moved to Arizona in his 20s.
He had a zest for life, especially in his teenage years. Jim enjoyed scuba diving, auto mechanics, and could “Jimmy rig” just about anything. He took pride in his work at Chuck’s Speed and RV Center as a master machinist.
He will be missed by many.
James is survived by brother Robert (Kathy) Barcus of Mentor-on-the- Lake, Ohio; Kimberly (R.C. Taylor) Majernik of Madison, Ohio; Nieces: Diana and Jamie Rupert, and Carrie Dagnan; Nephews: Mitch Majernk, Dan and Bryan Dagnan; and 12 great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind lifelong friends, Marty and Kathy Claywell, and their kids, Jasmine and Justin. We can’t forget all his other friends he has made along the way.
James was preceded in death by his parents: James and Alice (Wertenberger) Barcus; siblings: Jeannie, Donald and Joann (Dagnan Smartt ) Barcus; and two nephews Thomas Toubman and Matthew Hammond.
